Public school principals must permit representatives from youth-serving patriotic societies (serving those under 21) to speak with students during regular school hours in the first quarter of the school year

Patriotic societies must provide verbal or written notice to the principal of their intent to visit and inform students about civic involvement and membership opportunities

Representatives from these societies are prohibited from soliciting personal information from students during their visits

School principals retain discretion over the time, place, and manner of the representative's visit

"Patriotic society" is defined as any organization listed in Title 36 of the United States Code (which includes groups like Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and similar organizations)
