If severe pest presence is found, extermination must occur and pest levels reduced to acceptable standards before demolition can proceed.

Inspections must occur within two months of demolition permit issuance, with certification filed before permit approval; health officers may override pesticide applicator certifications.

Exemptions apply when no building exists within 10 feet on a different property, or when immediate danger from structural collapse requires emergency demolition.
