Requires all New Jersey public school boards of education to adopt a suicide prevention policy addressing prevention, intervention, and postvention procedures for grades K-12.

Mandates the Commissioner of Education to develop a model suicide prevention policy that school boards can reference when creating their own policies.

Requires school boards to consult with school and community stakeholders, school-employed mental health professionals, and suicide prevention experts when developing their policies.

Policies must recognize the needs of high-risk groups and include procedures for identifying warning signs, crisis response, parent notification, and support following a suicide attempt or suicide.

School boards must post the adopted policy on their website and notify students, parents, and guardians of its availability.
