Adds registered security officers to the list of protected persons under New Jersey's aggravated assault statute (N.J.S.2C:12-1)

Upgrades simple assault to aggravated assault when committed against a security officer who is clearly identifiable as performing their duties or targeted because of their status as a security officer

Aggravated assault against a security officer is a third-degree crime if bodily injury occurs (3-5 years imprisonment, up to $15,000 fine) or a fourth-degree crime otherwise (up to 18 months imprisonment, up to $10,000 fine)

Extends protections already given to law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, school employees, judges, corrections officers, utility workers, and health care workers to security officers registered under the Security Officer Registration Act
