Appropriates $3 million from the General Fund as a supplemental appropriation to the fiscal year 2025 budget for one-time bonus awards to essential frontline State workers.

Recipients must be members of Local 195 of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers who provided emergency frontline workplace service during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Director of the Division of Budget and Accounting in the Department of the Treasury will allocate funds to State agencies in consultation with the Local 195 President.

The appropriation recognizes that frontline workers maintained operation of crucial State facilities during the pandemic, often experiencing trauma, increased workloads, and understaffing while ensuring continued services to clients and patients.
