Notes that approximately 6,000 of the world's 8,000+ languages are classified as "endangered" and at risk of disappearing within a few generations, with 1,181 languages already not in use

Highlights that over 350 languages are spoken in the United States, including at least 160 Native North American languages, though more than 115 of the original 280 Native languages are already extinct

Encourages New Jersey residents to observe International Mother Language Day with appropriate ceremonies, programs, and activities

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to the UNESCO Director-General and all New Jersey members of Congress
