Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey is one of only two surviving Negro League stadiums in the nation, originally built in 1932 and renovated to reopen in 2023 as a 10,000-seat facility featuring the Charles J. Muth Museum.

The resolution formally recognizes the stadium's historical importance as a landmark honoring the legacy of African American athletes and the Negro Leagues.

The annual football rivalry game between Montclair State University and William Paterson University held at Hinchliffe Stadium is recognized as a sporting event that promotes the stadium's cultural significance.

Copies of the resolution will be transmitted to the presidents and athletic directors of both universities, the Governor, relevant state legislators, and the New Jersey Historical Society.
