Requires New Jersey school districts to permit nonpublic school students to try out for and participate in high school interscholastic athletics teams in their district of residence.

Nonpublic school students must provide proof of residency and meet the same eligibility requirements as enrolled district students, including physical examinations, insurance, fees, age, academic standards, and behavioral expectations.

Students who withdrew from a public school while ineligible due to academic, behavioral, or eligibility issues remain ineligible to compete under New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association rules.

School districts may charge participating nonpublic school students a fee up to the actual per-pupil cost of the sport, with exemptions for students meeting free/reduced lunch financial hardship criteria.

Districts are not required to provide transportation or modify team schedules, procedures, or participation requirements to accommodate nonpublic school students.
