Prohibits businesses from charging different prices for substantially similar products marketed to different genders, where "substantially similar" means no significant differences in materials, function, or functional design (color and packaging differences alone do not qualify as substantial)

Requires tailoring/alteration shops, hair salons/barbers, and dry cleaners/laundries to post complete price lists in at least 14-point boldface type and display a sign in 24-point boldface stating that gender-based pricing discrimination is prohibited under New Jersey law

Defines "gender" broadly to include sex, gender identity, and gender expression, protecting individuals regardless of their assigned gender at birth

Allows price differences based on gender-neutral factors such as labor costs, materials, tariffs, or manufacturer-set prices beyond a retailer's control

Violations constitute unlawful practices under consumer fraud law, punishable by up to $10,000 for first offenses and $20,000 for subsequent offenses, plus potential treble damages and costs
