New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) Chief Administrator must allow salvage processors to electronically submit applications for salvage certificates of title and certificates of ownership, along with supporting documentation and required fees

Salvage processors whose primary business is selling total loss vehicles on behalf of insurers would be able to print salvage certificates of title and certificates of ownership at their own facilities

The bill takes effect immediately but remains inoperative until 180 days following enactment to allow implementation time

The Chief Administrator receives immunity from liability for errors or misrepresentations made by salvage processors using the electronic system
