Students receiving equivalent instruction elsewhere (such as homeschooled students) must be allowed to try out for and participate in any school-sponsored extracurricular activities in their district of residence, including clubs, sports, musical ensembles, and theatrical productions

Participating students must provide proof of residency, meet the same eligibility and tryout criteria as enrolled students, and comply with all governing organization rules and regulations

Students seeking to participate in interscholastic athletics must demonstrate they did not transfer to alternative instruction for athletic advantage, and those who withdrew from public school while ineligible remain ineligible to compete

School districts offering physical examinations or medical tests for extracurricular participation must allow these alternative-instruction students access to the same exams and publish test dates and times on the district website
