Allows election boards and local authorities to request and assign police officers to polling locations to maintain order, enforce election laws, and assist with transporting election materials

Eliminates reporting requirements that previously mandated district boards notify county boards and the Secretary of State when police were dispatched to polling places

Eliminates the requirement for the Secretary of State and election officials to maintain public records of police dispatches to polling locations

Prohibits police officers serving as district board members or election challengers from wearing uniforms or carrying exposed weapons at polling places, with violations constituting a fourth-degree crime
