Requires the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission to waive the knowledge test for commercial driver license applicants who have military experience operating commercial vehicles and meet federal requirements under 49 C.F.R. s.383.77.

Expands existing law that already waives the skills test for qualified military applicants to now include the knowledge test waiver as well.

Applicants must provide proof of active duty, reserve, or National Guard service (or honorable discharge), military commercial driver license documentation, and certification of commercial vehicle operation experience.

Excludes applicants seeking to operate passenger vehicles (16+ passengers), hazardous materials vehicles, school buses, or certain for-hire passenger transport vehicles from receiving the waiver.

Takes effect on the first day of the sixth month following enactment.
