At least one employee trained in CPR and defibrillator use must be present on every train set during operation

NJ Transit must arrange CPR and AED training for authorized employees, fare enforcement officers, and other designated staff members

The corporation must test and maintain all defibrillators and notify appropriate emergency medical services providers of each device's type and location

NJ Transit and its employees receive civil liability immunity for acquiring and using the defibrillators, with the law taking effect 13 months after enactment
