Appropriates $1.2 million in supplemental funding from the General Fund for the Community College Opportunity Grant program for fiscal year 2026

Funds administered through the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority under the Department of State

Community College Opportunity Grant covers remaining tuition and approved educational fees (after other aid) for up to 18 credits per semester for eligible students

Eligibility requires enrollment in at least 6 credits, no prior college degree, completion of FAFSA or NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application, meeting academic progress standards, and household adjusted gross income between $0 and $65,000

Prior grant recipients with household income of $65,001-$80,000 may receive up to half the maximum award, while those with income of $80,001-$100,000 may receive up to one-third of the maximum award
