Requires examination of discipline practices including in-school suspension, out-of-school suspension, expulsion, physical restraint, and seclusion techniques, with attention to racial disparities affecting preschool through grade 12 students

Mandates study of federal guidance on school discipline, including the January 2014 Dear Colleague Letter on Nondiscriminatory Administration of School Discipline and related best practices

Final report with findings and recommendations due to the Governor and Legislature within 12 months of organization, after which the task force expires 30 days later
