School districts with grades 9-12 must offer at least one computer science course to high school students, effective in the 2022-2023 school year.

Computer science is defined as the study of computers and algorithmic processes, including computing principles, hardware and software design, computer applications, and the impact of computers on society.

Courses must be high quality and available in multiple formats: traditional classroom, blended learning, online-based, or other technology-based delivery methods tailored to student needs.
