Requires each New Jersey board of education to adopt a policy establishing temperature control standards and guidelines for school district facilities to ensure environments conducive to learning.

Mandates that each school building designate a staff member to monitor compliance with temperature standards and initiate permitted corrective measures.

Requires policies to establish protocols for when classroom temperatures are not conducive to learning and identify permitted temperature control measures in accordance with local building and fire codes.

Policies must be informed by and reference the Indoor Air Quality Standard (N.J.A.C.12:100-13.3) established by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Directs the Department of Education and Department of Health to jointly develop guidance to assist school districts, with the act taking effect July 1 of the school year following enactment.
