Licensed child care centers in New Jersey must prepare and distribute annual notices detailing emergency procedure requirements for evacuation, lockdown, natural or civil disasters, and other emergencies

Notices must be sent annually to every parent or legal guardian by certified mail (return receipt requested) or receipted first class mail to their last known address on file

Child care centers must also post the emergency procedure notice on their website or through other electronic means

The requirement applies to all child care centers licensed under P.L.1983, c.492 (C.30:5B-1 et seq.)
