Creates a three-year pilot program through the New Jersey Department of Education to provide assistive technology devices and services to elementary and middle school students with dyslexia and related conditions.

Grants will fund assistive technology that delivers written material in auditory or text-to-speech format and tools to help students complete written assignments, along with teacher training.

Seven school districts will be selected to participate, representing a cross-section of urban, suburban, and rural areas across different county classifications.

School districts must apply by detailing their number of affected students, grade levels, current reading abilities, proposed technology acquisitions, and teacher training plans.

The Commissioner of Education must submit a final report to the Governor and Legislature evaluating student outcomes, teacher training completed, and the feasibility of statewide implementation.
