Expands the definition of "contracting unit" under New Jersey's cooperative purchasing law to include State authorities and agencies, allowing them to participate in nationally-recognized cooperative purchasing agreements

Creates a new defined term "local unit" to encompass counties, municipalities, special districts, school districts, fire districts, and their boards, commissions, committees, authorities, or agencies

State boards, commissions, and committees remain excluded from participating in these cooperative purchasing agreements

Amends P.L.1996, c.16 (C.52:34-6.2) governing government cooperative purchasing and takes effect immediately upon enactment
