Mandates Sexual Assault Response Team members in New Jersey receive training on interacting with victims who have developmental disabilities, adding this as a sixth required topic in the standardized education program.

Amends P.L.2001, c.81 to expand the existing training curriculum that already covers coordinated response, team member responsibilities, psychological effects of sexual assault, evidence collection, and confidentiality issues.

Applies to county Sexual Assault Response Teams, which consist of a certified forensic sexual assault nurse examiner, a rape care advocate, and a law enforcement official.

Requires the county Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program coordinator to develop and implement the expanded training program.

Takes effect on the first day of the fourth month after enactment.
