Appropriates $40,000 from the General Fund to the Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner to contract for a feasibility study on establishing a regional medical examiner facility in Southern New Jersey.

The study must assess the need for a regional facility, optimal facility size, staffing requirements, costs of CT scanner acquisition, and whether to build new or adapt existing structures.

Requires examination of potential collaboration with Southern New Jersey medical schools to establish forensic medical examiner fellowship programs and death investigation training for law enforcement.

Study must evaluate expanding forensic science education at New Jersey colleges and universities, including new graduate and undergraduate courses in forensic medical examination.

The Office of the State Medical Examiner must submit the completed feasibility study report with legislative and administrative recommendations to the Governor and Legislature.
