Mortgage loan originators and qualified individual licensees in New Jersey may perform licensable activities from a residence or other remote location if activities comply with written supervisory policies and procedures.

Remote work requires written supervision policies, access to company platforms and customer information through a comprehensive written information security plan, and prohibition of physical records at remote locations.

In-person customer interactions are prohibited at a residence unless that residence is a licensed location.

The Commissioner of Banking and Insurance is authorized to issue rules and regulations to implement these provisions.

The act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
