Requires each public school board of education in New Jersey to adopt a student suicide prevention policy addressing prevention, intervention, and postvention procedures while recognizing the needs of high-risk groups.

Directs the Commissioner of Education to develop a model suicide prevention policy for grades K-12 to assist school boards in creating their own policies.

Mandates that school boards consult with school and community stakeholders, school-employed mental health professionals, and suicide prevention experts when developing their policies.

Requires boards of education to post their suicide prevention policy on their website and notify students, parents, and guardians of its availability.

Takes effect immediately and applies beginning in the first full school year following enactment.
