Youth camp operators, municipal/county recreation departments, and nonprofit youth serving organizations (including Little Leagues, Babe Ruth Leagues, Pop Warner Leagues, Police Athletic Leagues, and youth soccer leagues) must have an automated external defibrillator (AED) on-site at all youth athletic events and practices held on their home fields.

Organizations have 180 days following the act's effective date to comply with the AED requirement.

Compliance is satisfied if a State-certified emergency services provider or other certified first responder with an available defibrillator is present at the event or practice.

Youth camp operators, recreation departments, nonprofit organizations, and their employees, volunteers, coaches, and licensed athletic trainers receive immunity from civil liability for acquiring and using defibrillators.
