Prohibits AI-generated or AI-altered communications that aid, promote, or defeat candidates from being published or broadcast within 90 days before an election in New Jersey.

Requires all election communications created or altered using AI to include the disclosure label: "Artificial intelligence was used in creating this message."

Bans deceptive AI-generated audio or visual media that falsely depicts an opposing candidate in a demonstrably false, fraudulent, or defamatory manner.

Violations constitute a fourth-degree crime punishable by up to 18 months imprisonment, a fine of up to $10,000, or both.

The Election Law Enforcement Commission is directed to adopt implementing rules and regulations, with the law taking effect 60 days after enactment.
