Amends the New Jersey Conflicts of Interest Law to allow spouses of State officers or employees to hold interests in casino, medical cannabis, or personal use cannabis businesses, provided the State employee has no responsibility for regulating those industries.

Removes the current requirement that the marriage must have occurred after the State officer's or employee's appointment to qualify for this exemption.

Spouses remain prohibited from being directly or individually employed by these regulated businesses or their holding companies to qualify for the exemption.

Applies retroactively to February 22, 2021, the effective date of the Cannabis Regulatory, Enforcement Assistance, and Marketplace Modernization Act (P.L.2021, c.16).

Violations remain punishable as a disorderly persons offense with fines up to $1,000, imprisonment up to six months, or both, plus civil penalties of $500 to $10,000 for post-employment restriction violations.
