New Jersey Department of Health must prepare a resource guide on preeclampsia and gestational diabetes for distribution to all pregnant persons in the state.

Hospitals providing inpatient maternity services and licensed birthing centers must distribute the guide to each pregnant person during the patient intake process.

The resource guide must be provided in a language the pregnant person understands and include symptoms, early warning signs, effects on the pregnant person and baby, and strategies for self-advocacy with healthcare providers.

DOH must distribute the guide at no charge to all hospitals and birthing facilities, update it as necessary, and provide additional copies upon request.

The guide's information must be made available on the DOH website in both print and easily printable formats.
