New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA), working with the Business Action Center and higher education institutions, may designate entities as manufacturing and production business resource centers to help manufacturing businesses modernize, improve efficiency, and expand production.

Designated centers must meet EDA-established qualifications based on their ability to provide specialized services to manufacturing and production facilities.

EDA will refer eligible manufacturing businesses to these centers for assistance with product development, including technical evaluations, prototype development connections, and technology optimization.

Services provided to small and mid-sized manufacturers include production planning, factory automation, supply chain identification, quality assurance programs, market analysis, export opportunities, and workforce development.

Additional assistance covers distribution issues, financing resource referrals, and preliminary patent and trademark searches.
