Public institutions of higher education in New Jersey must expand annual reports to include retention rates, number of applicants, and acceptance rates in their student body profiles.

All student body profile data must be disaggregated by race, ethnicity, gender, family income, and first-generation status when available.

Institutions must use the collected student body data to evaluate institutional diversity and inform admissions policies.

Collected data must also be used to improve equity initiatives and determine resource allocation that promotes diversity and inclusion.

The requirements take effect immediately and apply to the first full academic year following enactment.
