Mandates all New Jersey health insurance carriers cover prenatal genetic testing during the first trimester of pregnancy, with benefits provided at the same level as other medical conditions.

Required covered tests include carrier screening (blood or cheek swab to detect genes for inherited disorders), nuchal translucency screening, and chorionic villus sampling.

Applies to hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, health service corporations, health maintenance organizations, and individual, group, and small employer health benefits plans.

Extends coverage requirements to the State Health Benefits Program and School Employees' Health Benefits Program.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment and applies to policies delivered, issued, executed, or renewed after that date.
