Mandates health insurance coverage for diagnosis and treatment of Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS) and Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS) when prescribed by a treating physician.

Required coverage includes antibiotics, medication, behavioral therapies for neuropsychiatric symptoms, immunomodulating medicines, plasma exchange, and intravenous immunoglobulin therapy.

Applies to all major health insurance types in New Jersey: insurance companies, hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, health service corporations, HMOs, and individual and group health plans.

Extends mandate to State Health Benefits Commission and School Employees' Health Benefits Commission contracts.

Takes effect on the first day of the sixth month following enactment, applying to contracts delivered, issued, executed, or renewed after that date.
