Requires health insurance carriers in New Jersey to reimburse telemedicine and telehealth services at rates equal to in-person service rates, changing current law that only sets a maximum cap at in-person rates.

Applies to private health insurance carriers, Medicaid, NJ FamilyCare, State Health Benefits Commission, and School Employees' Health Benefits Commission plans.

Exempts telemedicine or telehealth organizations that do not provide in-person health care services in New Jersey from the equal reimbursement requirement.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment and applies to reimbursement requests made on or after the enactment date.
