Designates March 30th of each year as "Menstrual Toxic Shock Syndrome Awareness Day" in New Jersey

Requests the Governor to annually issue a proclamation recognizing the day and encourage public officials and residents to observe it with appropriate programs and activities

Notes that Menstrual Toxic Shock Syndrome (MTSS) affects over 17 in 100,000 women ages 13-25 annually, with little reduction in cases since the 1980s

Identifies risk factors including use of highly absorbent tampons, diaphragms, and contraceptive sponges, with severe cases potentially resulting in organ damage, limb loss, or death
