Urges the Governor of New Jersey to take all necessary measures to participate in the federal tax credit scholarship program established by the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" (Pub.L.119-21), signed in July 2025

The federal program, effective January 1, 2027, provides taxpayers an annual tax credit of up to $1,700 for contributions to state-recognized scholarship granting organizations

Scholarships can be used for qualified K-12 education expenses including tuition, fees, books, supplies, tutoring, special needs services, room and board, uniforms, transportation, and computer technology

States have sole discretion to recognize and certify scholarship granting organizations, with the governor or designated state entity deciding whether to participate

Copies of the resolution would be transmitted to the Governor and Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey upon filing
