State agencies receiving funding from the Government Results and Opportunity Program Fund must submit accountability and evaluation plans to the State Budget Division director and Legislative Finance Committee director

Plans must identify goals, objectives, expected outcomes, specific activities, performance measures, and whether the program is evidence-based or research-based

Agencies receive notification by May 1 each year and must submit plans by July 1, with revised plans due by September 1 if required

Plans must include an evaluation component to assess causal impact on outcomes and describe methods and timelines for releasing results to the public

By July 15 of an appropriation's final year, directors must review evaluations and make recommendations on whether to include the program in the agency's following fiscal year budget
