Requires mandatory autopsies with microscopic and toxicologic studies for sudden unexpected deaths of persons under 20 years of age, including deaths from cardiac arrhythmia in apparently healthy individuals, unexplained natural deaths, and all sudden infant deaths under one year

Mandates review of immunization and medical records as part of each death investigation

Requires autopsy reports to document any immunizations administered within 90 days of the person's death

Establishes reporting requirements to both the state registrar and the federal CDC/NIH Sudden Unexpected Infant Death and Sudden Death in the Young Case Registry

Adds a new section to New Mexico's Vital Statistics Act to implement these reporting and investigational requirements
