Mandates that wheelchair coverage requires an evaluation by a licensed physical or occupational therapist with no financial relationship to the device supplier, and devices must be provided by suppliers employing certified assistive technology professionals

Designates denial of complex rehabilitation technology device benefits for persons with mobility limitations as an unfair and deceptive trade practice when equivalent coverage would be provided to non-disabled persons for medical/surgical interventions

Applies to group health coverage, individual health plans, and health maintenance organization contracts issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2027
