Amends Section 31-26-3 NMSA 1978 to expand the definition of "criminal offense" under the Victims of Crime Act

Adds four new offenses against peace officers to the list of qualifying criminal offenses: aggravated assault upon a peace officer, assault with intent to commit a violent felony upon a peace officer, battery upon a peace officer, and aggravated battery upon a peace officer

Peace officers who are victims of these specified crimes would become eligible for protections and services provided under the Victims of Crime Act
