New Mexico House of Representatives formally commemorates and honors the life and legacy of Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Dream Week 2026" runs January 12-19, 2026, organized by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission (established by the legislature in 1991), with the theme "Mission Possible Two: Building Community, Uniting a Nation the Nonviolent Way"

Recognizes Dr. King's 1964 Nobel Peace Prize for his nonviolent leadership in the civil rights movement and passage of landmark civil rights legislation

Copies of the memorial will be transmitted to the governor, president pro tempore of the senate, speaker of the house, chair of the African American Legislative Day Council, and executive director of the MLK Jr. Commission
