Appropriates $1,200,000 from the general fund to the Public Education Department for grants to public schools to purchase, install, test, or maintain automated external defibrillators (AEDs)

Limits expenditures to no more than $400,000 per fiscal year across fiscal years 2027 through 2029

Restricts fiscal year 2027 grants exclusively to public schools located outside areas designated as urban by the U.S. Census Bureau

Requires recipient schools to have met the requirements of Section 22-33-6 NMSA 1978, Subsection A

Any unexpended funds remaining at the end of fiscal year 2029 revert to the general fund
