Requires written notice of claims within 90 days of the occurrence (previously one year for law enforcement claims only), with specific notice requirements for different public body types

Prohibits exemplary or punitive damages and limits interest on judgments to two percentage points above the prime rate, calculated from judgment entry to payment

Eliminates the annual cost-of-living adjustment to damage caps and bars claimants from recovering damages under both this Act and the Tort Claims Act for the same occurrence
