Health coverage carriers must include any type of health care provider working within their legal scope of practice for network participation, applying to group health plans, individual and group insurance policies, HMOs, and nonprofit health care plans

Carriers are not required to contract with every willing provider; they may still establish their own terms and conditions for participation

Insurers may continue to set varying reimbursement rates based on quality or performance measures

Repeals existing sections 59A-46-35, 59A-46-36, 59A-47-28.2, and 59A-47-28.3 NMSA 1978

Applies to policies entered into, renewed, extended, amended, or issued on or after July 1, 2026
