Appropriates $50 million from the general fund to the Department of Environment for assessment and cleanup of abandoned or neglected contaminated sites statewide

Specifically targets abandoned uranium mining sites among the contaminated properties eligible for remediation

Funds available for expenditure during fiscal years 2027 through 2029

Applies only to sites without viable responsible parties who could otherwise pay for and conduct cleanup actions

Any unexpended balance at the end of fiscal year 2029 reverts to the general fund
