Requires persons convicted of domestic violence offenses (assault, battery, aggravated assault/battery against household members, criminal damage to property of household members, and protection order violations) to participate in and complete a domestic violence offender treatment or intervention program approved by the Children, Youth and Families Department

Eliminates credit for time served on probation if an offender violates probation conditions under a suspended or deferred sentence, allowing courts to impose the full original sentence as a sanction

Extends maximum probation periods for certain misdemeanor domestic violence offenses: up to one year for assault against a household member and up to two years for battery, aggravated battery, criminal damage to property, and protection order violations

Requires the Children, Youth and Families Department to promulgate rules defining criteria for approved domestic violence offender treatment programs by July 1, 2026

Applies to sentences imposed for crimes committed on or after July 1, 2026
