Requests the Office of Superintendent of Insurance, Department of Health, and Health Care Authority to convene a joint task force to examine New Mexico's medical malpractice system and recommend solutions

Task force would include 13 members: 4 patient representatives, 4 health care provider representatives, 2 malpractice insurance industry representatives, plus the Superintendent of Insurance, Secretary of Health, and Secretary of Health Care Authority

Addresses concerns that high malpractice insurance premiums and low reimbursement rates contribute to New Mexico's health care provider shortage

Task force must submit findings to the legislative health and human services committee and legislative finance committee by December 1, 2026
