Santa Fe National Cemetery has 79,000 veterans interred as of December 13, 2025, with each wreath costing $17, totaling $1,343,000 to place a wreath on every gravesite

Wreath-laying efforts have grown from 2,300 wreaths placed by 75 volunteers in 2019 to 9,600 wreaths placed by 750 volunteers in 2024

"Honoring and Remembering New Mexico Veterans" is the Santa Fe nonprofit organization leading the annual wreath placement initiative

Copies of the memorial would be transmitted to the Legislative Finance Committee director and the Secretary of Veterans' Services
