Requests the Department of Game and Fish, State Land Office, State Parks Division, Forestry Division, Department of Agriculture, and Department of Transportation to participate in a workshop on insect identification, ecology, monitoring, and management in spring 2026

Workshop to be sponsored by the Wild Friends Program at UNM School of Law, the UNM Museum of Southwestern Biology, and the Xerces Society (a nonprofit invertebrate conservation organization)

Encourages participating state agencies to disseminate educational information about insects to the public, including materials designed by students in the Wild Friends Program

Notes that state land management agencies manage over 9 million acres in New Mexico and references a 2025 law that amended the statutory definition of "wildlife" to include invertebrates such as insects

Cites declining insect populations due to habitat loss, pollution, pesticides, invasive species, and climate change as reasons for improved agency knowledge and public education
