Changes the timing for the Department of Taxation to submit its proposed budget and proposed legislation to the Nevada Tax Commission from June of even-numbered years to January of odd-numbered years

Requires submission of the proposed budget covering the next 2 fiscal years along with legislation proposed for consideration by the Legislature at its next regular session

Eliminates the previous requirement that tied budget submission to a specific June 25 meeting related to ad valorem tax rate setting

Removes the backup provision requiring a separate June meeting if the tax rate meeting was not held

Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval
